Is the Eisenhower farm wheelchair accessible?

The Eisenhower shuttle bus, the first floor of the Eisenhower home, the grounds, and the Reception center, are all wheelchair accessible. If you wish to, you can follow the shuttle bus in your vehicle and park in the site handicapped parking area. You just need to inform the cashier at the Visitor Center ticket counter.

Is the President’s farm still a working farm?

The President’s farm is leased out to a local farmer with certain conditions:
  • He grows the same crops that the President grew
  • He follows the same farm management practices that the President followed like strip farming, rotation, and contour plowing
  • He grazes black Angus cattle like the President
